Selective Coupling
An auxiliary motor may be selectively connected to the existing propeller drivetrain through a controlled coupling mechanism.
PATENT PENDING • OEM-FOCUSED CONCEPT
Guardian 15™ is a patent-pending propulsion architecture conceived to supplement conventional piston engines with selectively available electric torque following complete engine failure or significant power degradation.
Conceptual architecture. Final configuration is subject to OEM engineering, integration, testing, and certification.
OVERVIEW
Guardian 15™ is not intended to replace the conventional aircraft engine. The architecture is intended to give an established engine family a pathway to an additional propulsion-capability level using electric torque, reserve-energy management, safety interlocks, and intelligent control.
An auxiliary motor may be selectively connected to the existing propeller drivetrain through a controlled coupling mechanism.
Energy management is structured around preserving a propulsion reserve for abnormal or emergency operating conditions.
Control logic may detect qualifying engine-power loss and prepare or initiate auxiliary propulsion subject to safety conditions.
Estimated propulsion time may be updated using battery state, power demand, operating mode, temperature, and reserve limits.
HIGH-LEVEL ARCHITECTURE
The illustration below represents one conceptual arrangement. Final drivetrain order, packaging, component ratings, battery placement, control architecture, and certification strategy remain subject to manufacturer and aircraft-specific engineering. Illustrated component sizes, proportions, and dimensions are conceptual only and are not to scale.
Simplified public concept illustration only. Illustrated component sizes, proportions, and dimensions are conceptual and not to scale; the image is not intended to represent final aircraft nose length, packaging, or spatial relationships. Any named engine references are examples and do not imply manufacturer affiliation, endorsement, partnership, or production intent.
ENGINE-MANUFACTURER FOCUS
The current commercialization strategy targets aviation engine manufacturers and propulsion-system teams capable of assessing integration, packaging, durability, controls, serviceability, and certification implications.
STATUS
A U.S. provisional patent application was filed June 2, 2026. A U.S. non-provisional application is in preparation.
DEVELOPMENT STAGE
Guardian 15™ is not represented as FAA certified or flight tested. Engineering development, validation, integration, and certification would be required before production use.
BASELINE
Approximately fifteen minutes remains a baseline concept. OEM implementations may use different endurance, power, reserve, and packaging targets.
ENGINEERING • R&D • PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
The immediate objective is a high-level technical and commercial-fit discussion with aviation engine manufacturers, advanced engineering teams, and strategic development groups.
